Solskjær on Manchester City: "If you want to take up the challenge with them we need to strengthen our squad." BT

So Ole was making a statement tonight
We’re not going to challenge them. Ole’s transfer record is shit anyway.

No one has a good transfer record.
Even pep doesn't have it. He buys so many players so he doesn't have the problem. Some of them work out and he keeps churning until the other positions are also sorted.

You're right tbf. All managers sign their fare share of bollocks, even Fergie. It's the nature of transfers. There's a lot of unknowns, like how a player adapts culturally. There's only so much research can tell you.

Ole mentioned a few times in his post match interviews about wanting new players. It adds more pressure to the Glazers to just fuck off. Cos on top of fans stopping games, sponsors pulling out, a catastrophic loss of revenue due to covid etc the manager wants another 200m for players.

They wasn't part of the plan. They were hoping Ole would be content with being United manager and a top 4 finish. But he actually wants to take the next step and win the league. This is how he can put pressure on them from inside. It all helps.
