Giroud is obviously better than Rooney on recent form. But I think Giroud is unfairly run down by the pundits, he's a good player.

Early days, but I wouldn't surrender second to Chelsea just yet. They got 4 points without Pedro, 1 point with him. Not to mention another John Terry row. An interesting season ahead.

Yeah if Terry still thinks he should be starting every game then there will be trouble ahead

Will take a strong manager to axe an England legend and fan favourite like Terry - especially if Ambramovic still backs him

Absolutely. A BBC article was just mentioning now what we really have been seeing over the last couple seasons. Teams in the prem. are spending better. They're finding good players, for better prices, that aren't "names." They're getting the most out of their sub-10 mil£ signings. Add to that most teams are "going fort it" against the big clubs. It's fun to watch United throttle a team and just camp out in their half. It's just as satisfying, if not more so, to watch United win a good game of football.

Actually we did it this summer with the signing of Darmian. More signings like that are probably just as welcome as punts on youth players.

And increasingly players are coming here for a big pay day

On another note, 800 odd million spent by clubs and still the fans are exploited and fleeced to fuck. That's why I can't join in the 'isn't the Prem just fucking brilliant' circle jerking shite

That goes both ways though Sid... The PL spends the most, because the PL earns the most... and that's why selling clubs charge the PL the most... let's not forget, Otamendi, De Bruyne, and Martial, just made their clubs a ton of money... more money than they'd have received from most clubs in any other league... what will they do with it??? Valencia, Monaco, and Wolfsburg directly benefited from the wealth of the Pl...
