3.United
4.Spurs
5.Arsenal

Without any midfield additions third is the best we can hope for. But we'd definitely be in the mix.

What I'm hoping for most is a good run in the Champions League. Our pretty poor Champions League record might be one of the reasons a lot of European/South American players don't prefer us. We are definitely not going to win it this year but at least getting to the semifinals playing decent football would be great

tbf if Fletcher was English you would have been the first to claim he is better that Yaya.

No he wouldn't... and neither would any other sane football fan.
"Badges, to god-damned hell with badges! We have no badges. In fact, we don't need badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges, you god-damned cabrón and ching' tu madre! Come out from that shit-hole of yours. I have to speak to you."

We're not really talking about sane football fans though, are we? We're talking about Knobby, the same Knobby who still thinks Andy Carroll is a good player!

Toure is a better player than Fletcher, but the difference is not nearly as big as people seem to think. Fletcher was persistently underestimated because he's Scottish, gangly-looking, and he didn't have an agent constantly hyping him in the papers to angle for a transfer. On the other hand, Toure's been a bit overrated since he came to the PL. Good player, but not nearly as dominating as a lot of the journos seem to think. Keane and Viera would have eaten him for breakfast.

Purely in terms of personnel, we have the 2nd best defence. (City, United, Chelsea, Ars/Liv/Tot)
In midfield (the two), only City are obviously better. The rest are more or less equal in terms of quality.
Attacking midfield - Arsenal and Chelsea definitely better. We're similar to City. Better than Spurs/Liv.
van Persie the best ahead of Aguero up front.

Think the Ozil signing has made Tottenham summer a bit of a waste. They won't make top 4 now.

We strolled to the championship last year
Our rivals have strengthened, yes, but it will take time to gel as Tottenham's and Man City's defeats has shown
We havent really lost anyone of note, and arguably have strengthened our weakest area
Plus we still have January transfer window if we really need

I still fancy our chances of being champions

1. United (by 1 point)
2. City
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal
