Some really positive developments this summer. United hired a new marketing manager! Glory days are back again!

you see... that's all you needed, bman. You seemed so down in the Maguire thread but you just need to be patient and the good news will come.

Looking forward to see how he markets failure and disappointment to lure in more gullible sponsors

Manchester United agree scheme for fans to own shares in club

The scheme would comprise new shares being issued that would be part of a “B” category, meaning they would match those owned by the Glazers, who own United, and have 10 times the voting weight of “A” category, which are owned by most investors.

Interesting. In a consultation MUST voted overwhelmingly in favour.

Anyone got any thoughts?

I’m a bit surprised that they will be the quality shares instead of the shit ones. There might be a decent take-up given how cheap the stock is now. But what happens to the cash the club raises by selling these shares to supporters? Will it get invested in the club, or pocketed by the owners? Will supporters get a seat on the board?

Team Viewer want out

https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk ... p-24674545

Upon signing the deal last year, shareholders were not pleased and were put off by the impact the mega-money contract would have on company profits. Several reports in Germany say financial analysts were critical of TeamViewer's agreement with United from the off.

A TeamViewer statement said: "The partnership (with United ) has clearly boosted the international recognition of the brand over the past year. Nevertheless, the company has decided to re-evaluate its long-term marketing strategy."

This season is squarely about getting rid of these cunts. Hag gets a free pass, because the size of the task and level of backing make it a poisoned chalice. It's going to be a painful watch on the grass; all eyes and actions need to be about forcing change. And if it needs 'ugliness' so be it.

I do think, or at least hoping we're near the end. Revenues dropping, the shine of our prestige has waned, players don't want to come and the size of our rebuild- and rate of falling behind year on year - is palpably clear. Its beyond being managed through PR. Even to get us competing for 4th needs 4 or 5 players and 250m spending.

It must be getting to the point of being broken beyond the level that retains the cash cow value to the Glazers.

Agree with everything. One thing I'd say though is that as shit as United are I believe they're still the most successful and profitable thing the Glazer vermin own, so they could hang around for a while yet.

But I totally agree, this season has to be about getting rid of them if we want our club back. The football is irrelevant.

Only hope is dropping into the relegation battle zone and a fire sale by the owners to cut their potential losses.

Remember in 2004/05 when the Glazers took over and many cunts including United fans said "don't worry, it's not in the Glazers interest to let United go to shit" - well that's stood the test of time hasn't it :))
