Maybe so. But right a lot of people left Labour during the New Labour years when it was clear they were an anti working class party, full of middle class careerist war mongers, so they went to the Lib Dems, Greens, UKIP, other socialist parties. But now that Labour has a left wing leader whose main message is poverty, British poverty, they're coming back in their droves. I mean in 2 weeks alone he generated 4 mil for the party in new members.redzebs wrote:Well I agree with you there Sid, if you and pint are arguing that there could be a seismic shift and that people will vote for alternative labour candidates who back Corbyn then fair enough.Sid wrote:But the MPs that don't support him have no support from Labour voters anymore. Everybody hates em for their relentless bitchy whining smear campaign of the most popular Labour leader in decades. They're now seen as middle class careerist self interest anti democratic little spad fucking scum, which is exactly what they are.
Labour voters want Labour to be about Labour, not this middle class careerist job toss it haa become. The days of the blairites, the middle class careerists, the neoliberals, the right wingers, are done.
I just think it's like local elections where people use their votes to scare the shit out of those in charge and at the next election, you'll have too many traditional voters voting for the same punters they've voted for for the last 10+ years, better the devil you know etc.
So Corbyn might be admirable in some of his stances but he's not going to come close to ousting the Tories or uniting his party so again, is it really worth it to stick two fingers up at the other labour MPs?
On uniting the party... Unity will come when the new labour scum either fuck off or stop bitching like little fannies. The day Corbyn was reelected he said on stage that he'd wiped the slate clean, and called for unity. What happened next, Benn and the other Blairite vermin went straight to their mates in the media and started the slagging match again, saying 'oh god Labour won't be elected for 7000 years if we don't get rid of him'
There's lots of reasons why they're beings cunts like. But one is to make it look like he can't lead. They've gone through his private life and the best they had on him was some comments his ex wife made about him eating cold beans out of a tin. So now they're all tantrumming, so they can go "look at the chaos, he can't control the party let alone the country" while they throw their dinner at the wall. I mean the way to control em would be to kick em all out so they can start or join a neoliberal party. But then it'd be "Stalinist purge!"
If he wins the next election it will be a small miracle because he's had so many powerful institutions against him, from powerful gobshite mps, to the media who act as a conduit for anybody that wants to attack him and his supporters.
