Yeah. They could make more money by taking the actual footballing side of things seriously, but they couldn't be bothered. Too much effort with an uncertain outcome.fat maradona wrote: ↑4 years agoSeriously Zeb, you can't be surprised by this gradual demise. The Glazers did it to Tampa Bay Buccaneers and pretty much the same thing is happening to us.redzebs wrote: ↑4 years ago True dat boys, I have only been back a week but is everyone all over The Athletic? Will Sid take the free trial and 50% discount and commit to pay £2.50 a month lol?
There was an article in it comparing the state of the stadium and other facilities and archaic structure of how we operate compared to other clubs and how it was almost a metaphor for the decline of our success.
When Fergie retired did you ever think within 6 years that OT would be probably at best the fourth best ground in the country and even though we used to mock their attendances, City's investment and total rebuild of every aspect of a football club puts us to shame.
Even Anfield gets tidied up and as much done to it as they can ffs.

If Rooney had meant it he wouldn't have stayed. It was just to get a better deal.

I think he absolutely meant it but we paid off his integrity. We threw a level of cash at him that he was never going to get anywhere else. And he probably realised at the time that he only had 4 or 5 years at the top left - he was never going to last as long as Ronaldo. There was enough in it for him to be interested enough to hang around. And you still had the massively influential figure of Ferguson pulling the strings.
Notwithstanding the fact that all roads lead back to the Glazers, weve been going backwards ever since we binned off Ronaldo and Tevez for Owen and Valencia.

Fucking hope so, put this circus show to bed. Get at least £100m for him and then spend it on Grealish and Maddison. Or better still, get £100m for him and then pay the Glazers and Woodward a big congratulatory dividend.

That's an absolutely nothing story though, just repeating the same shit people have been talking about since last spring. This has to end though. He needs to publicly commit himself to United or fuck off ASAP.fat maradona wrote: ↑4 years ago https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... the-summer

United need to end their relationship with Raiola, at least for big players. He's taken the piss out of the club for too long, and got rich off the back of it by rinsing Ed. Time to move on.
