Bloke rang up MUTV and asked about the money the Glazers have taken out of the club, so they cut him off and laugh at him

Between debt servicing and dividends, my impression is the club pays somewhere between 80-100m each year for the privilege of being owned by the glazers. A Harry Maguire. I’m ok with debt if it fund investments in the club, players, facilities. But that’s not where our debt is from.

It's like Pravda or Fox News. Depressing. We worry about the Saudis taking over, but I suppose there'd be little practical ethical difference.

Stop worrying about who will manage the team, where we will finish or what competition we are in; the money machine is rolling right along.

627m profit but falling behind our (former) european rivals

"Last week, Spanish giant Barcelona announced it expected to pass the €1bn ($1.1bn; £883m) income mark for the first time this season."

Also wages are up to 53% of turnover, up 12% on the previous year, and above the 50% limit. So that explains why we didn't replace Lukaku, Fellaini or Herrera.

Again Ed is to blame. He saw fit to give big new contracts to Jones and Smalling before we had a manager. Then a bit later Ole gets the job and doesn't want em, so Jones never plays and Smalling's fucked off abroad.

Based on Ed's projected financials, we can expect reduced profits and increased wages. So we'll be paying more to have a worse squad, with less profits to spend on improving said squad. Proper shitly run club.

The stock price closed at $16.53, very close to the 52 week low ($16.18) and almost $8 alway from the 52 week high. The market capitalization stands at $2.71B, anyway you look at it it is not a pretty picture. It's almost like the Glazers are trying to squeeze every penny they can from the club before they unload it, and realistically there are very few buyers for a club the size of United.

Glazers to sell two percent of Manchester United shares

https://www.espn.co.uk/football/manches ... ge-sources

2% - is that just to raise money for the Glazers?

Also Fub do you want to move this to a the Glazers thread or a new financial one?

Done... i'd left the earlier stuff because Knobby seemed to be bringing it back on track by slagging off Phelan.
I may be able to fix a forum but I can't fix a fuckwit
