Interesting stuff, Barcelona and Real Madrid finally having to play by the same rules as the rest of the world? Surely not!

Pfft...

All talk..

Everything suggests that FFP has no teeth at all...it's taken this long for an "ombudsman" to more or less say, "we're working on it"... since 2009 they've been working to a deadline of 1 year... and now, they're doing what? working on it.

Look around football... Real, Barcelona, Monaco, PSG, Chump$ski, the Bitters... none of these clubs could possible justify their spending legitimately... but they carry on like there's nothing to worry about... because they've all got well paid lawyers and accountants who have studied the rules, and come to the conclusion that either, the rules can't be enforced, or simply that the rules are so full of holes that it will take years to make them enforceable... in the meantime, fuck the rules.

Just to add though... these are clubs with seemingly no ethics on their spending... what is interesting is how clubs like United and Arsenal, owned and run by people who supposedly DO have spending ethics,(*puke*) and want to play by the rules... use FFP as an excuse to starve their fans of quality on the pitch... "we can't compete, they don't play fair"... a lot of crap to justify not investing properly, and keeping the bulk of the profits for themselves.
"Badges, to god-damned hell with badges! We have no badges. In fact, we don't need badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges, you god-damned cabrón and ching' tu madre! Come out from that shit-hole of yours. I have to speak to you."

I miss the days when we could spend whatever the hell we wanted on transfers and still take the moral highground against the likes of Chelsea and City (even if they didn't have the financial muscle back then that they do now). Makes me really want to turn my back on football altogether knowing that the Glazers are at the helm of our club.

Rene about to be sacked? If true should Moyes offer him a job?

I thought he was sacked?

Anzhi clear-out operation in full swing apparently: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23603167

I wonder if Moyes will be in the stands to scout Swansea as they take on Malmö once again. If so, I'm surprised he didn't stay in Sweden after the match with AIK. It's not as though he would be needed at Old Trafford/Carrington for photo sessions with the new signings.

He must be shitting it a bit when he sees their midfield dominate like they do

If we'd have bought Fabregas Swansea would have sat off eventually because you can't get the ball off him, like Scholes, so we'd have dominated possesion and had time to play

But now it's probably going to be horrific

I've no idea how it will go. Everton did well against Swansea last season; they had a lot of success pressing high up the pitch. If that's the tactic United employ, I'd definitely have Welbeck on the left for this one.
