Juve's been one of the canniest operator in the transfer market in the past few years, and we've been Europe's more-money-than-sense-laughing-stock for most of the decade. So if it's a Lukaku-Dybala swap, we're almost certainly getting the shit end of the deal. Desperate gobshites beware.

How would everyone feel if we were to have signed the following players by 8 August:

Daniel James
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Harry Maguire
Bruno Fernandes
Paulo Dybala
Good but tainted by Jones, Smalling and Young still being at the club

I'd say yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Let's see what they do when it counts.

Manchester United and Juventus have agreed a swap deal in principle involving Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku, according to Sky in Italy

https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... -principle

I suppose the reasoning is we can't get a top replacement like Dybala for the 54m Inter are offering
Yet again smoke being blown out of some journalists arsehole, clickbait nothing else, nothing to see so move on.
These aren't just rumours, Dybala's people are in england to discuss the deal

I wouldn't be surprised if it was to force Sporting's hand and sell Fernandes. They're desperate to get rid (all the hype about him joining is coming from them) but keep holding out for more. So if we go with our second choice in Dybala it might force Sporting to finally accept our offer.
Says who that his people are in England again some fucking Journalist or have you met his people and they have told you that it is so.

This is shaping up to be another thoroughly disappointing transfer window. Every decent club has its targets lined up well in advance of the window and then uses the official window to ink the deals. We always seem to be playing a desperate catch up game and just get stiffed over what's left.
WE NEED A DOF FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From ghoulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties and things that go bump in the night, Good Lord deliver us...and while you're at it, a bit of a helping hand with hobbits wouldn't go amiss...

It really looks like we won't sign a midfielder, which is just astonishing.

Nothing about this club astonishes me anymore.
