He looked good in his first season, but that's 4 years ago now. Chances of him still becoming a decent player with the years of lost development are slim. Maybe he'll be like Smalling and put his injury problems behind him in his mid/late 20s but it's a weird gamble

Is Andreas the shittest player in the squad now? Who's his competitors? Maguire? Lingard?

Maguire's not that bad. He's a slow player getting exposed whenever we try to push up without a midfield in front.
Out of the players who get minutes, it's between Pereira, Lingard and Shaw. Shaw takes it for being one of the best paid players in the league.

Amazing news - so that means Matic is Pogbas replacement when he goes in the summer, one less position to worry about.

Now everyone's feeling sorry for Ed he'll get away with giving Joey's dosser a big new contract
The managed decline of United is happening in front of our eyes

tbf Sid, if we bin him off this season and don't bring in the replacement, we will be shooting ourselves in the foot. Giving the lump a 12 month extension isn't the end of the world, at least if he plays like he did in the first half yesterday, then it's better than relying on Perierra
