Vida's a classic guy.
“I am not saying that the David Moyes way was bad, but these players feel more comfortable playing a certain way of football. You have to respect where you are and what you represent, though, and there is no point speaking about someone who was here, who everyone knows lost his job because he did not succeed in doing what he wanted to achieve.
“The best answer I can say is that he [Moyes] tried really hard, he was professional. He was really committed to the job and desperately wanted to do well. But unfortunately, it didn’t happen and we are all sad."
The Nightmare is Over!!!
Wow, great interview. I know Vidic is past his best but it's a total fuck up that he's been allowed to leave right now. No senior pros in defence to kick the younger lads in the right directionbman2 wrote:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... nited.html

I'm going to miss him and Rio, but to be honest, from a footballing perspective, I don't think it's the wrong decision to let them go. I don't think Vida has been the same in the past couple of seasons since that injury he had, and Rio is 35 ffs. It's the bloody Scholes argument all over again - ridiculous that we keep relying on them, but we haven't replaced them. There's probably no truth to the rumours, but of the CBs that I personally have seen, I think that Hummels would be a brilliant replacement for Rio -- he's tough but quick and skilful too. 24 but several seasons of success behind him -- that would be a smart transfer.
