So many fingers are being pointed right now at the players, but look at how they're playing, individually and collectively.
Individually, mistakes, lack of confidence, bad decision making, risk averse. There's a problem at the player level.
Collectively, the team is too distant, plays with a style that is slow, there is no directed tempo, there is no direction and no clear instruction, other than get it forward, and lump it in. There's a problem with the system.
Rooney and RvP don't exchange passes anymore. You think it's because they hate one another right now?
Individual and collective performance are reflective of the Manager and coaching infrastructure, and while individual performances under Fergal would sometimes be lacking, that's a quality issue. We don't have enough quality in the squad. But it was never a collective performance issue, because Fergal put the fear of Jerbus up em and no doubt the collective brain trust Fergal used for coaching got to grips with the collective stuff.
Frankly, it's obvious to me what the issue is and has been all along.
It's not us, Davey, it's not the players; it's not luck, or trying hard enough. It's not having no clue what we have to do to win. It's not even about the shadow of Fergal and the Glazers.
Because Anatax has it right - we're not title contenders, but United isn't as bad as this.
Davey. It's you mate. On you hop.
