If we had a functioning properly funded health service more people would live and the virus dealt with sooner. But we've had decades of attacks on the NHS, penny pinching, pharmaceuticals profiteering etc to were we need to be social distancing and isolating for ages in order to stop it being overwhelmed. Fucked up.

And look at the list of 'key workers'. Those categories can be applied to loads of jobs. So 'schools are shut' isn't really accurate. They'll still need to be staffed and up to 50% of the kids will still need to go.
