In any other season, I'd have said that we only had a couple of tough games in the first two months (being Chelsea and Arsenal) but the way we played towards the end of the 18/19 season, all of those fixtures look like a potential banana skin to this current team.

Not too bad apart from december and january when we've got two top teams close together

But other then that it's pretty much one big team a month, and none in the last couple of months which makes for a great run in

So we can't blame the fixtures next season if we're shit

On paper, playing Chelsea early should be a good thing for us, as they'll badly miss Hazard and we could capitalise on that. They'll do well to find a player of comparable quality this summer.

It's a shame that we're shit, though.

Chelsea are pretty fucked. They've lost their best player, their manager wants to leave halfway through the project, and Abramovic wants to sell because he can't work in the UK

If Sarri leaves Roman will have to finance another rebuild, which in today's inflated market will be the most expensive yet. But why would he when he can't come over here and watch em play? And there's the transfer ban which am not sure they can get around

They will do what we are (planning on) doing, which is appointing a former player as Manager and promoting youth. They've got fuck loads of youngsters on the books and tbf, most of them are quite promising.

Basically, Liverpool and Citeh will be unchallenged for another season and maybe more.

Unless we bring in some players that can address some of our most obvious problems, I don’t think it matters who we play or in what order.

Yep, basically. Top 4 is up for grabs again next season with Arsenal and Spurs unlikely to strengthen a lot. I can see us fucking it up again though even though those last couple of months of fixtures are great.
