That’s the whole point. Football has moved on and he hasn’t.
There simply isn’t one best way. Never was.

Fuck knows how accurate this article is but if Ole is obstinately sticking to 'this is how United play', then god help us....https://www.football365.com/news/solskj ... le-failure
"Football has broadened in unimaginable ways, even in a nation this insular. As recently as Wednesday night, an Aston Villa manager and a Sky Sports reporter were having a cheerful pre-match conversation about the use of a False No.9."

Innit. I've apent 15 years posting on here about how the Prem / england have been left behind by the rest of the world. Despite thinking they were at the forefront, we were still playing dinosaur dogshit. Until now. The game has changed. And it's better.

As for Ole, this counter attack style isn't even how United play. Yeah we technically get the ball forward quickly, but we don't have possession, and we can't break teams down. He's selling us a load of shit.

"Potentially we have the best left-back in England. Luke has the potential to be the best one," the United boss said. "And that is the great challenge for him now, Brandon has come in and done so well."

If this a joke, does ole actually believe that shaw is potentially the best lb in england, at 25, with how he has developed to this point?
This is really worrying if ole believes what he is saying. Also worrying if he once again drops William's for shaw as soon as he has the chance.

And even with that record, they are still 6 points clear of us!
Game in hand though, so heres hoping its down to 3 after tomorrow.
Its mad that as bad as we have been, we are still within touching distance of 4th.

It's literally cos Lampsy's shite. But Keane's right, he's not getting as much flak because he's english. And yeah the transfer ban has been shit. But he inherited a better team than Ole.

I don't see why he got the job in the first place. He apparently did wonders at Derby. But he only got em 1 more point than they got the season before. Clear fraud

It's not really the same team. They lost Hazard, he's brought through Mount, Abraham, Tomori, Hudson-Odoi, James, Christenson, Zouma and they're playing decent football.

I'd agree. I think he's done quite well tbh, he's inherited a team which were low on morale, brought through the talent mentioned above and improved the output from Jorginho and Pulisic.

Ole has also done well to bring through Greenwood & Williams but I'm bemused why he hasn't played some of the others (Tuanzebe, Gomes, Garner) more often given the lack of talent ahead of them.

Whether Lamps has done better than Ole is a matter of opinion and whether either are going to lead their respective clubs to glory is also another matter. I'd love to be proved wrong on Ole but he just doesn't have the experience or tactical nous which we need.

Sure, but potentially the best lb in England...?! I guess the most important word in there is 'potentially', as in if he left off eating all the pies, trained hard, learned how to run past players, learned how to pass, learned how to score goals, then yes he might have potential. Then again he could just be crap.
