Labour and tories punished in the local elections over brexit. Lib Dems making gains again, but they could be wiped out by those other liberal shitheads, Change UK when they enter the fray in a fortnight.

This will kick the main parties up the arse to get brexit over and done with because the main parties are facing decline at this rate.

The EUs supposed open minded pro immigrant principles are under threat as the italian fascist PM and the popular french national front, along with other right wingers, are forming a huge block in the EU elections to become more powerful

The racist homophobic islamophobic right wingers that wanted out now want in, and to pull it further right

In that context is it better to leave em to it or stay in and fight I wonder

More actual facts for Bman to chortle at

“By the 1990s, the EU had embedded neoliberalism at its heart. In the process, the EU drew on the IMF’s tactics, raising austerity to a legal obligation, rooted in the need for ‘economic stability’. However, the EU has deepened this process, essentially constitutionalising austerity.”

I found Danny Dorling's tweet about the right wing brexit bang on, how it's a "middle class yearning for empire". Very true.

The polls are mad. Looks like the lib dems are about to overtake labour. change uk have collapsed already. greens overtaken the tories

the westminster one is scarier though. 44% voting for right wing parties and only 31% for left wing parties. corbyn has really fucked it

Who do you class as right wing? They've all been right in recent years barring that one left wing Green manifesto. Now you've got socialist labour as well. That's it. The Lib dems are thoroughly right wing. They've just aligned themselves with the tories in bolton to form a majority against labour. So the left have always been an absolute minority - far less than 31%.

It's all because of brexit. The remainers are voting lib dem and green because they want to remain and leavers are voting for the brexit party.

The biggest fuck up bar none is Change UK aka the funny tinge party getting so little of the remain vote :)) There's talk internally about them being finish already. They jumped ship and expected others, and the press, to join. But that clearly hasn't happened.

Ukip Brexit Tories / Lib Dems Change / Labour Greens

Corbyn got 40% of the vote last time - of course it's brexit, but that's on corbyn for opposing the membership. Against the worst government in decades, corbyn is polling at 24%

‪All those people that said brexit will mean austerity are voting for the pro austerity Lib dem party today to send a bunch of MEPs to swell the ranks of the pro austerity european parliament group

They didn't really give a shit about austerity affecting poor people, they're just scared brexit might affect them
